Chirag Goel, Founder and CEO, launched Tego as a startup while an undergraduate at Northwestern University with a vision to create safer wall outlets that completely prevent the risk of electrocution. A passionate entrepreneur, he has been recognized for his significant contributions to Chicago’s startup community and was named to Chicago Inno’s ‘Under 25’ list in 2024. He has led the team to other recent accomplishments including winning the annual Chicago Inno Madness competition in 2024 as well as placing in Northwestern’s annual VentureCat competition in 2023.
Keith Weissman, MD is the Vice President of Marketing at Tego. He is also an emergency medicine resident physician at University of Texas Southwestern and Parkland Hospitals, and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. His training in emergency medicine informs a focus on safety, prevention, and practical design in everyday environments. Tego was founded while he and Chirag were both studying at Northwestern University, where they first met. At Tego, he leads marketing and company-building efforts, supporting the company’s growth from early development through go-to-market execution.
Robert “Bob” Brakeman is the Vice President of Finance and Operations at Tego. He has worked with some of the most recognized brands in the product development and contract manufacturing space. Bob brings over 25 years of experience in financial management, fundraising, manufacturing, and supply chain, and provides strategic planning and business operations guidance to a broad range of clients. Previously, Bob was a Business Unit Director at Jabil Circuit, where he led the Jabil Emerging Tech (JET) business unit focused on engaging with and developing early-stage hardware companies. Bob is a frequent speaker at manufacturing industry events and serves as an adviser and board member with multiple industry organizations. He holds a BA in Economics from Syracuse University and attended graduate studies in finance at UC Berkeley.
Andrea Liao is the Director of Business Development at Tego. Trilingual in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, she brings a strong cross-border perspective that supports Tego’s partnerships with manufacturers in Asia and its expansion into new global markets. Andrea has cultivated extensive relationships with major technology companies, including Google and Amazon, enabling Tego to build a network of strategic partners that strengthen both product development and strategic execution as the company continues to scale. She is a graduate of New York University and an alumnus of NYU Stern’s Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship.
Patric Lewandowski is the Director of Paid Advertising at Tego. He has worked in the marketing industry for over a decade, bringing real results to companies as part of agencies.
Patric specializes in SEO, paid ads, data reporting, as well as graphic and web design. He has a BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and an MA from St. Cloud State University.
In his non-marketing life, Patric is also a cartoonist and author with numerous books to his name. He is the current chapter chair of the National Cartoonist Society North Central chapter.
Patric lives in rural Minnesota with his family and various assortment of pets, where he also serves on his local school board.
Meghan Platt-Aguilera serves as Director of Content Creation for Tego. In her role, she leads the development and execution of strategic digital campaigns, overseeing content creation, brand positioning, and audience growth across platforms. With a strong background in social media marketing and storytelling, Meghan specializes in building engaging, high-impact content that drives brand awareness and consumer trust. She is passionate about leveraging innovative products like Tego’s to create meaningful connections and elevate modern home safety standards. Meghan is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
