Our Team

Chirag Goel, Founder and CEO, launched Tego as a startup while an undergraduate at Northwestern University with a vision to create safer wall outlets that completely prevent the risk of electrocution. A passionate entrepreneur, he has been recognized for his significant contributions to Chicago’s startup community and was named to Chicago Inno’s ‘Under 25’ list in 2024. He has led the team to other recent accomplishments including winning the annual Chicago Inno Madness competition in 2024 as well as placing in Northwestern’s annual VentureCat competition in 2023.

Tego consists of a strong, diverse team with a wide range of expertise and experiences, united by the mission to create safer spaces for children by revolutionizing electrical wall outlets. Based out of Northwestern University’s startup incubator, The Garage, Tego is dedicated to making homes safer and household items more accessible to power.
